Theory Unlocked Bonus Practice

Welcome to the Guitar Theory Unlocked Bonus Section!

There are four additional lessons here, covering more examples (sometimes it is helpful to simply see the same problems worked over and over again), as well as some valuable additional perspective on the topics.

You can get back to the Guitar Theory Unlocked course via the Dashboard, or by clicking here

The Rhythm Player’s Guide to Picking

Welcome to the Rhythm Player's Guide to Picking! My goal for this course is to help you really expand the picking side of your rhythm expression on guitar. We've got lots of patterns, techniques, and tools that I hope you're going to really connect with.

Please ask questions as you go through the course! I welcome questions - the comments area under each video is best, though you can also email me directly.

This course has been designed for use right here, on the website. You can ask questions in context with the material, and also benefit from the course tracker. However, if you need to take the course offline, you can find the download links here.

Download Links (for offline use)

To download, right click on the link and select Save Target As. The wording may change slightly depending on your web browser. The 4k files are much larger, if you have a slower connection, go with the 1080 files instead. You do not need both, they are the same content.

Are you ready to get started? Let's go!

Bar Chords Made Simple

Welcome to the Bar Chords Made Simple course! My goal for this course is to help you achieve a breakthrough and make bar chords a regular part of your guitar experience.

If you have any questions as you go through the material, please use the comments area below the videos – or shoot me an email via the support desk – and I’ll be happy to help as best as I can!

Don’t forget to download the Course Supplement PDF as well – you’ll probably find it handy to refer to as we go through the course.

Toolbox for D Major

Welcome to the Toolbox for D Major course! My goal for this course is to give you a whole bunch of different tools that you can use to make your rhythm playing much, much more interesting.

Jamming while you’re playing rhythm guitar takes a very different approach than you might use for playing single-note lead lines. When you’re playing rhythm at the same time, you need to be adding melodies to your chords. That means that your chords need to become a goldmine of inspiration for you.

That’s what this course is all about. I hope you’re inspired to create beautiful music as a result!

Box 1 Blues Soloing

Welcome to the Box 1 Blues Soloing course! My aim for this course is to give you some cool guitar licks that you can add to your arsenal, while learning them in the context of jam track that really allows you to go deep with each lick. Once you learn to truly modify each lick and twist it into different situations, it becomes very powerful - and musical.

If you have any questions about the course content, please use the comments area below the videos, and if possible, reference what point in the video your question relates to. To download, click the large button below. If you're watching online, don't forget to still download the course book!

Following The Chords

Welcome to the Following The Chords With Your Solos course! My aim for this course is to give you some cool guitar licks that you can add to your arsenal, while learning them in the context of a solo you can practice against a backing track. But even more than that, I hope you'll start to connect with how those licks and riffs are related to the chord progression, and develop your ability to start targeting the chords this way in your own solos.

These are lessons I recorded for the Riff Ninja Bass School, and on the last one I'm joined by Colin Daniel on guitar, as we jam out some of the ideas we talked about in the first two bonus lessons. Please make sure you've completed the main course prior to the bonuses, as they are more advanced concepts that build on the theory we cover in the course.
